I would be shocked if he even knew what a blog was, let alone that I have one, let even more alone how to access it. If I were less certain about this, I would have (reluctantly) kept my sock news to myself.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05736019203704382525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-345254913878149620.post-3975482953960948312015-01-19T13:08:38.591-08:002015-01-19T13:08:38.591-08:00I am assuming that Bill will not read this blog po...I am assuming that Bill will not read this blog post...Jody Casellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17892174349776047862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-345254913878149620.post-2014041020754614802015-01-18T14:11:10.122-08:002015-01-18T14:11:10.122-08:00Wow, Miz B! 24 Vermeers! Click on "Collection," which contains all their sock-versions of famous paintings. It's an experience not to be missed!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05736019203704382525noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-345254913878149620.post-33951642047782499542015-01-18T13:56:22.408-08:002015-01-18T13:56:22.408-08:00Well, as you know, I am generally way to lazy to c...Well, as you know, I am generally way to lazy to comment here, mostly because half the time I do something wrong in the final stages of posting my extremely pithy comment, and it all disappears into cyber ether. Alas.
I agree, these are a rather disturbing interpretation of this painting (which I gleefully boast of having seen three times in person) and given what you have observed about your colleague, it remains questionalbe as to whether he was being ironic or trying to honor your love of Vermeer.
As to whether or not I would wear them, that depends on where the pearl is.
For the record, I have seen 24 Vermeer paintings in person. Just saying.Panda in Chiefhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14160375490647791433noreply@blogger.com
