It shows you that there are many different kinds of education, right? I have heard of Vesalius and his Structure of the Human Body and his illustrations. I took a medical anatomy and physiology class in college as part of a physical education degree and also his illustrations are often presented in Art History. It is good to know his personal and professional history to add to what I already knew. Interesting about Fallopius ...can't wait for that one to come up in Trivial Pursuit. To me, they were just fascinating, but I can see how someone might find them kind of sickening. Still, you're right; if not for people like Vesalius, we might still be relying on Galen for our medical knowledge! Thank you for stopping by in this A to Z home stretch. But how else were people to find out what was really going on inside our bodies? We could still be talking about the four humors that determine our health and disposition.

AtoZ Challenge Team Leader of the Muffin Commando Squad
http://cleemckenziebooks.comcleemckenziehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15456109243453726483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-345254913878149620.post-45197114898804166952015-04-25T08:26:39.258-07:002015-04-25T08:26:39.258-07:00Wow, you've got an interesting theme going on ...Wow, you've got an interesting theme going on this year!

I've heard stories about where they got the cadavers from - yech!Trishahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16927558937796802496noreply@blogger.com
